The Climate Change March

On May 24, a big group of people and schools  surrounded Queen street to fight climate change. The students laid down along Queen street to plead with the government to act before climate change seriously infects the world. Tamariki from Waikowhai Primary School was the only primary school that came. Apollo Johnson, age 10, said “too much pollution happening could cause the sea to rise and warm the planet.” There were people that had signs made out of cardboard boxes to lessen the use of paper. The Tamariki want the government to wake up and use less fossil fuel. They are trying to stop fossil fuel and try to be fossil free and use electric scooters. One of the people that were in the strike was so loud. They had to lay down and say “what do we want climate change when do we want it now! They were shouting.
